Actually, I consider myself a "rhyming storyteller" rather than a poet. I have always loved writing, and I used to write humorous limericks for the birthdays of my nephews and nieces. I like to keep my writings humorous, because otherwise I would slide into the most strident sentimentalism.
I started to write my poems much more regularly in 2008, when I joined the poetry class at the Riverdale Senior Center. My dear husband Albert had just passed away at the ripe old age of 100, and my writings have been a vital way for me to express my many memories and emotions.
On the right is a list of my poems. Click on each title to open up the page.
