There’s a lot I could say,
About an extended hospital stay.
The thought always remains,
Make a quick get away.
You start in the emergency,
They x-ray and M.R.I. with great urgency.
What did I break?
How long will it take?
Until I can be home,
Without pain in my bone.
To get a bed for the night,
Or fall asleep at dawns early light.
You can hope for the best
That you get a bit of rest
The place is too busy
The noise makes you dizzy.
The whole scene is out of sight.
I hope they treat me right.
