The beauty of nature of any kind
Will stay imprinted on my mind
I shall see it, if ever I were blind.
I can remember Hawaiian sunsets
With all their beautiful hues.
From pale alabaster to cerulean blues.
Once landing in Iceland
To refuel a turbo jet,
An aurora borealis appeared,
A sight so grand
We shall certainly never forget.
In New York, in December you will find
A rainbow of a different kind.
A melting pot of immigrants brought here,
Black white, brown and yellow,
Filled with Christmas cheer,
Awaiting the first moment of the new year.
The descending ball is a lovely sight.
So Happy New Year
And to all a good night.
