Spring is in the air once more,
My heart is happy to the core.
I’ve escaped my winter jail,
I can another year prevail.
We are shedding hat and glove,
And gratefully thank the Lord above.
Nature is finally calm and subdued,
Flowers, trees and the earth are renewed.
Storms, floods and quakes feel like things of the past,
With the onset of spring they cannot last.
Open your windows wide and sing,
Welcome the beautiful season of spring!
